My name is Nils.
I am an educational consultant and private tutor, based in Paris.
I have extensive experience teaching the IB curriculum in international schools and am happy to support you in your studies.
Besides being involved in academic tuition, I am building EduTech with a team in Berlin, care for reading literature, watch good crime shows and go hiking by sun and by rain.
Read on for more about who I am and what I do.
A graduate with two degrees from the University of Oxford, I entered the teaching profession in 2008. Until summer 2015, I was the Head of Department for English at UWC Maastricht in the Netherlands.
I have recently left school-teaching behind to support students as a private consultant while working on an independent EduTech project with a development team out of Berlin.
Brought up in Germany, schooled in the US and international schools, and educated in the UK and South Africa, I understand the international teaching and learning community first-hand.
My pedagogy is based on my top-class university education and extensive teaching, planning and managing experience in the international school sector.
Throughout my teaching career, my approach has always been student-centred. I focus on empowering students and clients to acquire the skills necessary to hone their skills independently and competently.
